The project- Helping Small Business owners during COvid-19

In March 2020, COVID-19 shut down small businesses across the world. Intuit recognized the need to help small business owners and freelancers find federal relief—as quick as possible. With that goal in mind, a team put together a site to get businesses personalized help seeing if they were qualified for Paycheck Protection Program loans, and if so, how much they could get and how much could be forgiven (free money).

Building the home page

As part of the small team helping small businesses, we built a website as an entry point to our tool. As one of two content designers on the initial team, I wrote the content for the site and all of its iterations. Our goal was to keep the site as simple as possible to not overload people already overwhelmed by the difficult situation. A lot of the messaging here was then incorporated into marketing/PR strategies.

Note: The site is now offline because the programs have ended.

CONtent in the tool

I helped to edit the first tool helping with PPP loan eligibility, amount, and forgiveness. For the second suite of tools, which helped businesses check for eligibility and amount of money they can get from COVID-19 related tax credits, I was the lead content person. I worked on the content along with tax analysts, and a team of experts that ensured that everything was accurate.
